Dear Guides and Sec1s,
Girl Guides will be celebrating its 100th year anniversary this year. As the theme for this year’s Centenary Celebrations is “Empowering Girls and Young Women”, cooking and craft sessions are organised to empower girls with the necessary skills which they will showcase to the Guest-of-Honour, Mrs S R Nathan. Below are the details of the sessions which the girls can take part in.
Cooking Session 1Date: 5 March 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: Training Room
Time: 9.00a.m. to 11.00a.m.
Fees: $10
Dishes to be taught: Nasi Lemak, Iced Bandung, Teh/Kopi Tarik, Sweet Corn Hoon Kwe
Cooking Session 2Date: 5 March 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: Training Room
Time: 11.30a.m. to 1.30p.m.
Fees: $10
Dishes to be taught: Chicken Curry and Roti Jala/Prata, French Pancakes/Crepes
Cooking Session 3Date: 5 March 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: Training Room
Time: 2.00p.m. to 4.00p.m.
Fees: $10
Dishes to be taught: Mee Siam, Muffins/Cupcakes with décor
Craft Session 1Date: 12 March 2011 (Saturday)
Venue: Training Room
Time: 9.00a.m. to 11.00a.m.
Fees: $10
Craft to be taught: Balloon Sculpting, Face Painting, Cutesy Doggie
Craft Session 2Date: 12 March 2011
Venue: Training Room
Time: 12.00p.m. to 3.00p.m.
Fees: $10
Craft to be taught: Mehendi Art, Beaded Craft, Hair Braiding
For each of the above sessions, only a maximum of four Guides per company can take part. Fees will be subsidized by the Guides fund. Please comment at the tagboard if you want.
For those who do not want to take part in any of the sessions, you will be attending the ceremony on the 9 April 2011 at the Bishan Sports Stadium. Only 15 people will be able to attend the ceremony as the Bishan Sports Stadium can only accommodate a limited number of people.
Lastly, please comment
whether or not you are interested in the above sessions by 4 March 2011. Further details will be passed down at a later date.

There is training this friday, 25th February 2011. For Guides, fall in at the heritage gallery at 7am sharp in your full Guides uniform. For Guides and Sec1s, fall in ouside Guides room at 2.30pm in your PT kit. Guides, please remember to bring must haves.

Dear Guides and Sec1s,
There is training on 18 February(friday). Fall in outside Guides room at 2.30pm sharp in your half Guides uniform. Bring must haves. Please remember to bring your beret. Take not that there is no need to fall in in the morning. For Sec1s, fall in with your seniors in your half school uniform.
Most importantly, please check if you still have the 2009-2011 Thinking Day patch with you. It's a horizontal one with a yellow border.

Dear Guides,
Those who are involved in the hamper wrapping on 14 February, please fall in outside Guides room at 2.45pm sharp in your half school attire. Venue will be at Kuo Chuan Presbytarian School, so please bring your bus card along as transport is not provided. Do take note that dismissal time will be based on how fast we pack the hampers. Also, you will be dismissed straight from there. Please take your lunch before falling in.

Dear Guides and Sec1s,
Take note that for training on the 11 Febuary, we will be participating in Anderson's Secondary School Girl Guides self-initiated programme. They will be planning a series of game for us to participate in. Details are as follows:-
Attire: PT Kit
Time: Fall in outside Guides room at 1.45pm sharp
You might want to bring a small bag along, to put your valuables and water bottle. Also, as only one way transport is provided, please bring along your bus card. Remember to bring your signed consent form as well.
For Sec2s and Sec3s, take note that you do not have to fall in in the morning. However, remember to bring your half Guides uniform and beret, as we will be having footdrills training after the activity.
