It's not Farewell; It's see you later

I am lousy at goodbyes. I tend to cry easily so I am terrible at making goodbye speeches. I rather write about it.

Today, I am sure all the Mdms and Seniors had a memorable and enjoyable time. The games were interesting and well-organised. Let's not let some annoying cleaner ruin it for us. The guides' Own went smoothly and it's really a good idea to start with some sing-a-long to liven up the atmosphere! The slides were great and the choice of music was great! I am sure all of you enjoyed the delectable delights from Delifranc and Canadian pizza. Overall, I am pleased with how the things were done.

Now, I would just like to say a few words to Sam, Joy, Jieying, Audrey, Grace, Ying Xin, Mei Xin and Zi Jing. At first, I had my misgivings. I remember even shouting at you. However, I must say today that you are indeed at strong batch of leaders. You are committed, creative and efficient. Sam, You have a helicopter view of everything and you plan and forsee obstacles that might come your way. Thus, all things tend to go smoothly when you are around. Also, you practise servant leadership: leading by example and always willing to get your hands dirty. You are calm and collected and do not panic easily. When things dun go your way, you dun rant and rave and instead you calmly try to solve the problem. I will miss working with you. Under you, the guides have achieved great things: They are more united and they are cohesive, cooperative and helpful. This is because you guys are good role models. I am so proud of all of you. Joy, I love your smile and your good heart. You are very helpful and I know I can count on you to make things right. You work so well with Samantha and you are a good listener. You are also a reliable, caring friend and that makes you very special. Jieying, I love you for your gentle and kind ways and how you are willing to help out whenever you can. You are meticulous and careful and thus you make an excellent treasurer! YingXin, you are a sweet and caring person with a good heart. I know you will always try to make your juniors' lives more comfortable. Mei Xin, you are a wonderful Patrol Leader, always on the look out for any guide who might be ill or sick and I am sure you have touched the lives of all the juniors. You are willing to go beyond your comfort zone to be a good leader and role model for your juniors and that is impressive. Audrey, our pint-sized dynamite who can really run!!! I am sure the gals will thank you for making them trim and fit. You are creative and fun-loving. You liven up any party. Grace, you are mature and calm and you are very helpful. Sometimes you might be rather blur but I know you have lots of brilliant ideas. Zi Jing, you used to be noisy and the life of the party but you have mellowed down somewhat but we still love you! You are kind and self-sacrificial. You dun mind getting your hands dirty and you always help with the outdoor cooking without any complaints.

I am so immensely proud of allof you and how far you have come! I will miss all of you! With the approaching 'O' levels, I hope all of you will put all the guide laws and motto into practice! Be prepared! Work hard to achieve good results. I strongly believe that all of you can attain academic success! Remember the doors of AMKSS will always be open for all of you and you must come back and visit us whenever you can!
